While we wait for a some spottings of a 24 Reg. I did have a wonder what "transport" was like back in 1924.

Well its the sort of thing the Evening Chronicle/Newcastle Journal with its long history do well.

I found this image fascinating. The caption reads...

The Bernicia at Newcastle Quayside ready to sail Newcastle United fans to Wembley in 1924 for the FA Cup final against Aston Villa

That must have a story on its own, and a joyous return journey as the match turned out :-D

I watched out all day for the last few days and saw not one, although I might have missed one because I was too focussed on the green end on the number plate of BT Openreach van coming toward me. :)

Saw 3 today, a pair of KIA's emerging/ turning into a KIA dealer, and an on the road spot of a Puma.

First thing I noticed about the Puma was how pathetically small the rear indicators are, and how they are completely surrounded by the red brake lights. So much so that when braking and indicating, the tiny amber light loses all of its amber-y-ness and is cast in red light from the brakes.

Just been cut up by a 24 reg BMW in Carmarthen! Apparently speed limits, lane markings and even traffic lights don't apply to BMW's. ( And I thought that was only on the M25.) The thought "drive it like you stole it" briefly came to mind, but then just maybe............

Still waiting for the first original image of a 24 reg. I saw another 24 today...a green flash I do believe but no image and only a fleeting glimpse as it sped past.

I had to pass through this car park and remembered to look for them.
Saw this

Then in another car park (Home Bargains) saw a Skoda '24' and wondered what it was looking for after all.
I can never get the hang of 'new' plates. Can't remember what year mine is (YD61SMO) and if it weren't parked outside wouldn't even know what it was.
