Hi guys,
Thinking of getting a C15 van diesel. My Grandad had one and always remember it being very reliable and spacious in the back. Plus it was the first vehicle I was driving after passing my test for about 1 year!!
My question is will they run on veg oil? I have only seen Lucas pumps. Is there any on the XUD7 or DW8?? Or is it possible to fit XUD9 in?
Any info would be great thanks in advance!
P.S. my zx estate has done 90000 miles on veg no trouble
Best regards
Danny

Ha, my Father had a C15 Romahome that they used to go all over the place in. The only thing I found though was having to stand up on the brake pedal to get it to slow down!

Re: Citroen C15 van info please
My C15 daily driver will be 30 years old at Xmas time and I will then be transferring it onto a "Véhicule de Collection" registration, which applies here in France from 30yrs of age. It will mean that it only needs a Contrôle Technique every 5 years instead of one annually (a commercial has to have an interim pollution check between the bi-annual mechanical MOT) so it is cost effective and the bonus is that I can use it in all the low emission zones with impunity.
I bought the C15 in 2012 after living with a couple of Acadianes. They were OK but I got fed up mending them and they were positively useless in every respect. The C15 is a revelation by comparison. Useful, comfortable, economical and above all reliable. It is just nicely run in with just under 300K Km on the clock.
A few years ago I bought another one, an MOT failure and broke it for spares so I have everything I'll probably need to keep mine going for a while. I even chopped the body in half and made a matching trailer for it. They are very numerous in this part of France, being the hunter's go to off roader before pick-ups became the vogue. There are at least 4 within 300m of our house, but they are starting to drop off the radar and second hand prices are starting to rise. Expect to pay 3500€ or more for a decent one.
