Peugeot Expert 2021 Ko Engine Fault error P119F B162C

Unread post by blake7 »

Hi all,

I thought I would post this up just in case it helps anyone else in the future with the same issue.

I have a Vivaro 2021 k0, which is an Expert.  I had an engine fault code pop up and the van went into limp mode.  Scanning gave the following faults:

- P119F Deterioration of the engine oil.  Rate of dilution excessive
- B162C Accessories Positive relay control and status not coherent

Upon researching/investigation, I came to the following conclusions:

P119F - I only do short journeys as I am a gas engineer going house to house.  I believe the issue is that the van never gets to do a DPF regeneration, or I keep turning the van off whilst it is doing one.  There are no warnings on the dash to advise you it is happening.  When the regen is stopped part way through, it seems it dumps excess diesel into the oil.  This over time dilutes the oil and brings
up the fault.

I have changed the oil and filter, reset the service interval and the ECU P119F fault has cleared and the van is out of limp mode.

B162C - This turned out to be unrelated and it was a blown fuse for the 12v cigarette outlet.

I have managed a forced regen using my scan tool which appears to have been successful. I am yet to do many miles since changing the oil and I will update the post if the issue returns.

Hi

I have a 2018 Expert k0 and if you're not already aware and as many have done I put an LED in the drivers door mirror connected to the heater element to indicate when a regen has started as the ECU turns on the heated mirrors during regen, it usually only takes about 5 miles even with traffic for the regen to complete and the LED goes out.

The LED is behind a semi transparent hole in the back of the mirror, it's only really visible to the driver when on, I tried to attach a couple of pics but was unable to.
I posted it on the Peugeot Forums headed "Regen LED Expert door mirror" if you would like to see.

Cheers

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I do not have heated mirrors, which is a shame!
