Keyless starting issue
Over the past week I’ve noticed about 3 times that the car hasn’t started first push of the button. The infotainment screen all lights up, but no engine. I do hold the button for a couple of seconds.

Re: Keyless starting issue
This can happen if the clutch pedal is not fully depressed into the 'zone' that allows the engine to start. There are multiple zones detected by the clutch pedal sensor for operation of the Stop Start system and the pedal has to be in the correct zone for certain operations.
This happens occasionally with me when I'm being a bit lazy with the clutch depression.

I’ll make sure I push it right down and see if that does the trick.

Re: Keyless starting issue
Not had any more problems over the last week. I am consciously pushing the clutch pedal right to the floor when starting

Re: Keyless starting issue
Hello,
I think I have the same issue. When I want to start the engine, I depress the clutch and press the Start button and I dont get ignition. Sometimes I get it going if I press the clutch very hard on the floor. I wonder if there could be a faulty sensor or loose connection in the clutch which doesnt tell the ignition system that the clutch pedal is depressed?
Any advice appreciated...

Re: Keyless starting issue
No, it's unlikely. The clutch sensor has a scale with 'zones' for different operations and unless you push the clutch pedal almost to the floor it won't start.

Re: Keyless starting issue
ok thanks for your reply.
So any thoughts on why the clutch now requires an abnormally hard push to the floor in order to start the engine, as opposed to what used to work for many years, which was to depress it in a less agressive way?

Re: Keyless starting issue
That may be down to the Clutch itself / adjustment / wear
