RHH 2.0 HDi throttle body!

Post by ThomasH »

I have a question, why does my 2010 C5 X7 2.0 HDI RHH 163hp have a throttle body with two flaps? but one of the flaps has a dead end, for what?? I cant understand de purpose, its like it isnt even used, the flap is very clean, like new. Its very interesting, it also has a position sensor for the flap.

Im talking about the “like new” white flap, the hole has a dead end and its not hollow like the other one, they don’t even meet…

It's normal and was a change from the previous DW10BTED4 engine. Ignore it.

I did write something about this years ago, but can't find it now, but on the DW10C engine, the by-pass function is not active, the hot air (by-pass) flap is only activated in the event that the cold air (mixer) flap seizes.

Give me a minute and I'll get you a diagram

So in figure 7 it’s supposed that an air mixture is happening, right?
