Torque sttings..help please

Post by moomoo »

Hello
Does anyone have the torque settings for the main bearing bolts and the big end bolts for the 1.9TD (XUD9)
I have two haynes manuals (405 and Xantia) but the settings are for 1.6...1.8...and 2.0l engines...there doesn't seem to be a mention of 1.9td settings.
Any help appreciated
Thanks.

Thank you for that Matt.
I think I'd better get hold of the 306 manual!
Cheers.

There is an XUD engine specific Haynes too:
"Haynes Manual (0950) Peugeot Diesel Engine 82-96 (up to N Registration)"
From eBay listing
From eBay listing
I don't have direct experience of it, but might be another option to consider

For completeness here's the eBay link:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186166053514?

No connection to seller, just first correct thing I was referring to from a Google search

It's very good and comprehensive... One of Haynes better efforts!

Ah good to know - though a shame they've given up on them, a HDi engine book would be good!

Yes, I'm surprised they never did an HDi manual...

A few well-written technical manuals on modern car electrics/electronics and emissions control systems would be very welcome too. A well-written book covering DPF systems, CAN/VAN busses, SCR Denox systems, diagnostics and so on would be so valuable these days and would be a best-seller I'm sure.

A DV6 manual in the style of the old Haynes XUD manual would be good too :)

Absolutely Jim, all those topics even if one per book would be on my shelf without a doubt!

I think there's a Haynes "engine electronics" book but is pretty old.

Edit: having a quick Google, there's a suite of them. Will have a dig into these.
