hello
does anyone have the standard journal sizes for the 1.9td XUD engine?
I have the Haynes manual for the Xantia but it doesnt give the sizes for the 1.9td crankshaft.
I was going to have the crank polished ..or even ground if need be...but it looks to be in excellent nick...remarkably scratch free.
I wanted to measure the journals and hopefully just replace all the crank bearing shells with standard ...
I was also going to replace the piston rings with standard size rings...the bores are also spotless.
This is a donor engine from a 405 and i dont know its history but whilst its on the bench id like to give it an overall....i do know it has around 150k on it but it looks as though its been well maintained.
I'm also assuming that the block on all the XUD9 engines are the same?

Does it give clearance specs? Plastigauge check would be better. Everything may be fine.
