A flash drive with map files is the solution to the problem. You do not have to install them at all. The only thing is that after inserting the flash drive with maps, the NAC program restarts and you can use the car again.

Your problem is with firmware installation that you'll have to leave for now. The map update may have fixed a glitch by getting the system to reboot properly after a failed firmware update.

Anyway, you have the vehicle working, that's the main thing. I would recommend you leave the firmware on your vehicle as it's not critical.

Hi, i have just bought a 2018 peugeot 308 and i am trying to update the firmware on my infotainment system.

I have updated the maps without any issue.

I downloaded the latest peugeot app for windows, downloaded the firmware, let the app format my 32gb usb stick and it moved the firmware to the stick. When i plugged the usb in to the main usb port on the car i get the not compatible message.

I tried with a different usb stick and i have made sure i was connected to my houses wifi (i also tried via my phone) but still getting the same message.

Current system version is 21.07.16.32_NAC-r0 - Map is 27.0.0-r0

My vin is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

I'm hoping someone could help I have a problem with updating the firmware on my citroen dispatch van, I get the version not compatible with hardware, I have installed an aftermarket reverse camera about a year ago, I'm just wondering if it might be affecting the update process as there is hardware there that's not original to the van, I have updated maps before with no issue but not the firmware.

currently i'm trying to update the nac wave2 of my Peugeot 3008 from 2019. As i understand the most actual update 21.08.90.52_NAC-r0 has expired licenses so installation will brick the system.

Is it possible to update to a earlier version as 21.08.87.32_NAC-r1 ?
When i try to update i constantly get the message; Not compatible with hardware

I tried several times with different USB drives (8gb, 16gb, 32gb) but without succes.

Tonight i will try the BSI reset as advised. But is it even possible to update from my current version 21.07.16.31_NAC-r0 to a way newer version?
And is there any possibility to get the 21.08.87.32_NAC-r1 version with license file from the forum?

Just looked and it appears I have a system update. Software of the touch screen (44.07.33.32_NAC-r0). Doing a web search and browsing around a few forums it says it's for bug fixes and removes the horrible yellow colour for maps, changing it to green. Just wondered if there are any accompanying release notes?

Also I see Cartography (17.0.0-r0) is one there too.

I'll do both in due course.

I wrote about the problems I had with this above and the scenarios I tried. I even made a Bs? reset protocol.
I (even many friends) encountered problems in updating the firmware file.
Moreover, for example, my screen stayed on the blue screen and did not go beyond.
The friend named @fasi gave the information that the system was recovered only with the map file upload.
For now, I only updated the map.
The last firmware version is troublesome for ME...

Obviously, nothing much has changed in the firmware event. My advice is to update only the map.

By the way, if there are friends whose screen is incomplete during the update like me, as @fasi stated, they can flash the SWL and info files in the last map TAR file with the 7zip programme to the FAT 32 formatted memory and correct the loading scenarios.
