Hi everybody
Ok I have posted as far back as 2021 about my passenger door handle on my 2013 DS5 not working, and Marc helped as he always does, but nothing would make that handle work,so given it was the passenger handle and the car locked up on the fob and the other three worked I decided to live with it,fast forward around 2 years and I bought a TopDon ArtiDiag 800 BT diagnostic tool, mainly because I decided I needed a xmas present that I actually wanted ,anyway last week end we went on a 240 mile round trip ,two miles into it I get lights on the dash, abs.handbrake and service lights,I stopped restarted and they went,so this week I got out the Topdon, and it is wireless and so I set it in motion and got about 5 things come up some were wrong ,like oil level nothing wrong with it ,front right speed sensor and a couple of other things so I cancelled them ordered a speed sensor because I have had problems with the brakes which could be because of this sensor, but as I was working on the car I decided to see if I could get that handle to work and to my surprise the passenger door handle opened the car so all four doors are now keyless, now when you press the two ridges on the handle s it should lock the car well they all did except the passenger one, today I opened the car using the passenger door and did a short run and then I pressed the passenger door and it locked the car ,so for the first time in about 3 years all the doors are working as they should.
Sorry for the long post, I cannot prove it but that diagnostic tool getting rid of faults twice may have had something to do with it,well for me the £192 I spent on it seems like a great deal and of course it is not just Citroen cars it will work on,

Re: DS5 keyless door handles
It will be a coincidence to be honest. There's an electrical supply / comms fault somewhere that is intermittent.
I suspect it may be the door wiring from the a pillar that is shoring or broken, causing the intermittent operation.

Re: DS5 keyless door handles
For a long time I tried to figure out why handles are getting faulty (even after erasing faulty codes) and from my experience (without going deeper into electrics), "faulty" door handles are sensitive to the weather and ambient temperature. On my DS5 during dry period (spring/summer) almost all 4 handles work smoothly, but if it is raining or cold like winter, I notice some handles are not operating at all or partially, either locking or unlocking function is working, and it goes randomly on each handle. Back left door handle is working properly almost all the time so I use it most of time to unlock/lock the car (my car is left-handed).

Yes the sensors are very sensitive and dirt, muck and grime build up can also be a factor.
