306 twin headlight problems

Post by joe_m »

I have a 99 306 dturbo with the twin headlight units and the chrome has started to flake off the reflectors on the hi-beam lights. Does anyone know if you can get replacement lamps for these? They are made by Cibie but I dont have the part no. to hand.
The other option I was considering is to replace the whole assembly with the 'proper' crystal unit (which I prefer) but was wondering where I can get the trim sections that fit under the lamps from. Scrapyard? or can you order them from somewhere.
Thanks for any advice

You can those little trim sections from the scrap yard, or goto the main dealer & ask how much they are, you might find they are cheap enough to get new.

The trims are about £5 a side new. Chances are if you get them from a scrappy the clips will be snapped at the end as they were never designed to be removable.

got the strips & clips from a dealer for £6 each, so couple of lamps from GSF and I'm ready to un-mod my car!
