C5 II - Rear seat belt warning - no passengers

Unread post by C-Five »

Hey guys!

Just bought a '05 C5 II 2.0 that I am sorting out. I have a problem where it warns that not all of the passengers in the rear seat are belted. However there are no passengers there. I am guessing there are sensors in the seat and one of them is broken. All help would be appreciated. Do you change the faulty sensor or is there an emulator you could use instead? Could anyone let me know how the sensors look?

As said, all help would be much aprreciated 😊👍🏻🍻 Thanks in advance.

Is it just a warning when you first start the car, if so our C5s did that and it was just a message to let you know the rear belts were not fastened, even though there was nothing on the rear seats.

The warnings should go out after you start driving.
If not you can just disconnect the wiring going to the buckle.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. It never crossed my mind it could be such an un-intelligent system to be honest. After all it is a Citroën. I was sure a sensor thought someone was in the seat. Just bought the car, I will have to check if it warns after driving off.
