The service schedule for your vehicle and mine still shows 05W30 (FPW9.55535/03), but looking at the June 2023 recommended oils they have now listed only one oil for all the DV5 engines:
0W20 oil (B71 2010)
Portugal is listed along with Great Britain as a temperate country. Below is s brief description of this grade:
0W20 oil (B71 2010)
Portugal is listed along with Great Britain as a temperate country. Below is s brief description of this grade:
To make a 0W-20, high quality base oils and strong additives are needed. The base oils must be able to protect and flow at very low temperatures. Typically, a large amount of synthetic oil is needed to allow the oil to flow well at these low temperatures. 0W-20 motor oils require synthetic base oils and are either full synthetic or part synthetic (synthetic blend) motor oil; 0W-20 oils are not conventional (or mineral) motor oils. And the additives must be thin enough to move well but still protect these newer advanced engines.

My data is from Citroen Service and the official schedules for your VIN, plus their technical list.

Just received formal confirmation from Peuget Portugal. For my VIN, the oil is now: https://lubricants.catalog.totalenergie ... -rcp-5w-30GiveMeABreak wrote: 16 Jan 2024, 12:05 My data is from Citroen Service and the official schedules for your VIN, plus their technical list.![]()
By the way, as far as i know, this oil is not on the market yet. I will have it after the 26th of January.
Best Regards

Yes your specifications show 5W30 on your servicing documents and hasn't changed.

Re: Engine 1.5 BlueHdi new oil spec.?
This is my first post here (hopefully not the last!). I own a 2024 Peugeot 3008 with the 1.5 BlueHDi engine, and I’m a bit confused about which engine oil I should use. The information I’ve found so far is quite contradictory, and I’m also unsure about the correct oil change interval.

Re: Engine 1.5 BlueHdi new oil spec.?
For engines with the 7 mm cam shaft chain there is a recall MXL for the 1.5 hdi engines which recently started. It involves the Peugeot dealer listening to the engine and if ok to change the oil and filter for the latest oil spec which is the same as introduced nearly 2 years ago 05W30 (FPW9.55535/03). Our 308 was checked a few weeks ago and was deemed to be ok so just had the oil/filter changed even though it already had this oil at the service 2 months previously and 1 year before that. However, your engine being recent may have an 8 mm camshaft chain so this recall might not apply, you need to check with your Peugeot dealer or you may be able to check on this Peugeot recall site https://www.peugeot.co.uk/tools/recall-campaigns.html .
Our 308 service interval is every year or 20000 miles if sooner. When you visit your dealer get them to print the latest service schedule for your car, they should not charge for this, it includes the correct oil spec for your car. With your car being only 1 year old it should have another 2 years warranty (UK is 3 years from new) so you should keep having services done by the dealer.

Re: Engine 1.5 BlueHdi new oil spec.?
Thanks, PaulC5 , this is really helpful. I’m based in Morocco and haven’t been able to find any oil that meets the FPW9.55535/03 specification locally. I prefer doing my own oil changes because I feel I do a more thorough job, but for now I’ll continue having the service done at the dealership to maintain the warranty, which here is 3 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first.
