I want to know does the ds4 1.6 180 petrol only have a belt or chain ?

It depends on the exact engine variant (there are several 180 engines). Pop your VIN up and I'll check for you.

The VIN was invalid Steve, he typed it incorrectly, so wouldn't mask. I've corrected it now.

First of all, you have an outstanding After-Sales Recall, reference 'JJM' - C5X, DS4 (D41) Software Download the new versions of some software.

So I would get it booked in for the updates, which will be free of charge at your dealership.

As for your question, this specific vehicle has a timing chain fitted.
