Hi
I hope to receive some advice from you. Unfortunately, for some reason, my rear tires wear out more quickly than the front ones. When I purchased the car, it was fitted with 235/45 R20 P Zero (PZ4) SC Electric-approved, and I presume they were demo as the car was second-hand. I need to change the rear tires now and I'm facing a dilemma: should I purchase the same ones? The front tires won't need changing until at least 15-20k km. Would the 'ELEC' designation have any impact since the car is gasoline?
Thank you,
20" Tyres

Disregard what's already fitted and use what the car maker or tyre company specifies.

235/45 R20 P Zero (PZ4) SC Electric-approved look to be about £200 each, that is a lot of money for tyres so you want something that will last. Have a look at the sticker on one of the pillars giving tyre pressures, it ought to also have the type of tyre originally put on.

Re: 20" Tyres
Gents,
Thank you for the reply and advice. I agree Pirelli tires are expensive, but there isn't much choice in this size. Considering mid-range tires priced around €170 - €210, opting for premium seems to be the best choice. There isn't much information about what was originally fitted, but according to Google, all DS models are originally equipped with Goodyear tires. I will do bit more reserch to find out what suit best,

Re: 20" Tyres
They also fitted Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres to this model with 20" wheels as factory fitted summer tyres, along with a "GRADE C1-A-ROLLING RESISTANCE COEFFICIENT 6.5 OR LOWER AND TYRE 235/45 R20 100V NON-REINFORCED" tyre.
Lastly there was a 21" version also ( 245/35 ZR21 96Y REINFORCED TYRE)

Re: 20" Tyres
Choosing tyres is such a woolly area, many like to buy only tyres that are reassuringly expensive, some will buy the cheapest tat available. Lots of unduly heated opinions! Hopefully I have a reasonable sensible middle-ground.
I've got four of these on my DS5 (19" in my case)...

Obviously check all dimensions and requirements before ordering against your manual. Available from lots of suppliers, this is an unknown random one. I find it cheaper to buy online then pay for fitting separately.
They're around £60-£100 depending on size. Have done 12k miles, still got plenty life left in them. These are designed in Belgium, previously a division of Continental according to somewhere!, made in China, have all approvals and good efficiency/noise ratings.
Get your alignment checked at the same time. The backs aren't adjustable, but if the fronts are out then this may mean that the backs are being dragged sideways.
