I have a Mk2 C4 picasso 1,5 Airdream First few months of owning was really nice, and then the knocking started. So far i have replaced, the shocks, anti roll bars, track rod ends, other various bushes, each time after it has been on a ramp, the noise vanishes, so i think what the garage has changed has worked, then few miles later the knocking comes back. it is not like a normal knocking, you can feel it through the footwell under the pedals.
I have had a mobile mechanic take a look and he used to work for Citroen, and he identified that the Front subframe bushes were worn out. He only showed me the drivers side, and i am guessing it has to be replaced both sides at same time.
Has anyone else come across this.??
There is alo a clicking sound when on full right hand lock more evident when applying a bit of power to move.? he suggested it could be the mounts, but mechanic freind said CV joint.
This car is costing me an absolute fortune so far, any ideas from you guys please

Re: Constand knocking noise from front of car
Only need to replace the side that is loose, you used to be able to buy the bushes only, but now they only come complete, and are a bit pricey.
Knocking on lock is likely to be a CV joint - these make a very distinct noise, anyone that knows will ID it straight away!
