Hello
Please excuse my ignorance on this subject I have never owned an automatic before, I now have a C4 Grand Picasso which has the “robotised” automatic gearbox as opposed to the fully automatic with torque converter.
With that in mind, as far as I am aware, I have a “manual car” (with manual gearbox and clutch system) but have robot actuators which actuate the clutch and the gearbox on my behalf.
If the above statement is correct, then my question is regarding servicing, I suppose the gearbox gets new oil as and when it needs it and the clutch gets changed as and when it needs it, as per a normal manual car, does the robot system need any servicing or is it a working system until it doesn’t?
Here is an early Happy New Year
Paul

Re: Fully Automatic Vs Robot
Yep, that's pretty much right. No need to change the gearbox oil, and by the time the hydraulic fluid needs doing it will be clutch time anyway!
