Why does it always rain when issues happen to your car ?

Re: Citroen c3 picasso
Ok back of the engine area dry. A screen shot added to this showing 2 drawn red circles by me, showing where coolant is seen on the little bolts in this area .
My deep fear is the engine has warped bottom end ? Is this possible.
Somethings i dont like doing or to keen on
Ive for now shoved in a bottle of wynns stop leak for the whole system to be honest if it works & i can get some use till the mot runs out then ive had my moneys worth i get then i could possibly break for parts & claw back some cash that way.
Its run throught the system over an hour the leak has stopped theres no air in the system the heater blows lovely hot air if i get 7 months out the car i will be happy with that. Ive full AA cover ( the ones who come get you after 2 wks wait ) so if i break down im ok. Sometimes we just need to take it as it is.

Re: Citroen c3 picasso
Just did a test drive about 12,15 miles this should of worked the wynns leak stop around the system how ever the coolant did drop in the header tank which i knew it would as topping the system back up even with bleeding can mean it will need topping up again because its just an ass pain topping up job to do , So after it cooled i topped up about a tea cup full of coolant to the level needed which indicates if correct no air in the system. I will see what tomorrow brings & see if its sitting in a puddle again . If so thats it end of the c3.

Re: Citroen c3 picasso
Biggest problem on the 16v is getting the injectors out if they are carboned in. Head bolts are also prone to snapping the heads off. If it's high miles you may also find the cam chain / tensioner needs replacing.

You might consider having a look at this video Husky, the voice is a bit tiresome but I found the overall video worth watching if only to see the results towards the end.:

Re: Citroen c3 picasso
The injectors are clean so thats a plus i guess as for miles 90000 just a tad over. So i might be ok.RichardW wrote: 23 Mar 2024, 16:08 Biggest problem on the 16v is getting the injectors out if they are carboned in. Head bolts are also prone to snapping the heads off.
