A few weeks ago, the speedometer cable on my ZX 2.0 petrol snapped.
I went to the local Citroen Dealership and asked about the speedometer cable, they told me that there were two of them that were joined in a small box and that I had to find out which one had snapped.
Last saturday, I opened the hood and after looking around and not being able to find that box, I decided to call it a day and better ask.
Does anybody know where is that box? Where can I locate it in the gearbox?

I don't remember there being a box, just a knurled type connector. The cable comes from the back of the gearbox. Its quite a stiff cable and proper routing is essential or they flicker or break again. The join is about a metre up from the connection in the gearbox.If you locate the longer gearbox shaft, as it enters the gearbox, above it is the speedo drive, which is the start of the cable.
