5008 windscreen washer

Unread post by strilen »

Hello, I am new to the forum today, I am a Norwegian so please forgive me " my French".

My car is a second hand 5008 1.6 BlueHDi 2016.
I am not happy with the late start of washer pump for the windscreen, wipers are starting before washer.
I am looking into the possibility to put in a toggle switch to start the washer pump in advance.
Can any of you give me a wiring diagram to solve this ?
Or, give a better solution to this matter.

Thanks

I can see there has been 544 wiews but sadly no answer.
I belive the reason for this my poor gramar.
I ment to ask for the original wiring diagram to try to solve this myself.
Not a wiring diagram made by some of the members to solve this request.

Nothing wrong with your grammar, it's just that nobody has a solution. Your vehicle has separate motors with separate ECUs in a master / slave relationship. These motors are supplied via the Engine Fusebox but have separate power supplies to each. Then you have the LIN Bus connection and from the engine fusebox, CAN communications to the BSI for control.

I don't think you can do what you want. They are not designed to have anything separately wired in or you may end up with problems.

Thanks for your answer.
" Your vehicle has separate motors"
My car has one common motor who are feeding front and rear windows by reversing the rotation.

No, what I'm talking about is the actual windscreen motor wiper arm motors - of which there are 2, not the washer pump. I was trying to show you that the whole system is interconnected. The operation of the wipers is CAN controlled to operate the wipe / wash and that if you try and wire in a switch it may cause a problem on the CAN network.

Thank you for explaining this for me.
My first car back in the sixties had ony ground and positive and easy to modify.
I think it is the best to not jumble with this modern car wiring.
