Automatic gear C5 2005

I have a Citroën C 5 with automatic gearbox.
Sometimes the gear gets stuck while driving. And the service lamp lights up on the dashboard. I stop the car, turn off the ignition and start again. The service lamp is no longer on. I can start and drive and the gears work again like normal. But after a time, same problem. My previous C5 had the same problem. I had the gear oil refreshed, but that didn't help. Can anyone give me advise, apart from a new gearbox?

You need to have it diagnosed preferably with Lexia / Diagbox and post the codes up here, along with your VIN and any warning messages and gearbox indicator lights / messages.
