Resonating noise

A strange resonating noise has started to arise on my Xantia 2.0 Turbo Activa when the engine is at around 2600rpm constantly or at the same rpms when the revs are falling whilst changing gear. Can anyone suggest when it may be? Thanks

Hi, just a thought, on mine at idle and around 1500 RPM, the tensioner pully on the auxiliary belt system makes slight contact with the cambelt cover, giving a quite annoying rumbly type noise. I'm told its quite common.
other than that, check the engine mounts and exhaust i'd have thought. The bottom engine mount goes quite often apparently.

Remember that one - well, remember something very similar.
Rear engine mounting on mine had eventually decomposed causing resonance at around those revs. Fine below and above.
Unfortunately I can't help on the fixing - mine got done at the main dealer (or do I mean "I got done").
