2006 Citroen xsara picasso 1.6

The AC compressor is sounding very noisy. I'm guessing that the bearing is pretty much dried out. Currently I'm working away in Aberdeen but from Derby and struggling to find a garage to repair my car before going back next Friday. Is it possible to fit a smaller belt to bypass the AC unit for now and if so does anyone have an idea on the size. I purchased a belt for the none AC model but it's still too big. Any advice would be appreciated

It should be possible to bypass. Measure it with a bit of string, and then get the nearest one from the local factors.

I was hoping a garage could measure one up for me as I can't get the right measurement while the existing belt is on unfortunately.
