Citronics

Post by tomsheppard »

I will need to get my aircon charged next week. Citronics is local, so I'm considering using them. Have any members had any dealings with them?

If you are talking about Citronics in Harpenden, then yes I have used them in the past for servicing on my now deceased Xantia.
E-mail me if you want any comment on the work, but I have and continue to recommend them to anyone wanting their Citroen serviced.

I had Citronics change the cam belt on my previous Xantia, and had no problems.
Friendly too.[;)]

O rings, oil and drier Polar aircon (web) c.£100
pipes from donor car.
Condenser I'm told is no longer available.
Are you planning to aircon one of your own fleet then?

Yes Tom, I started 3 years ago!
I was going to fit a/c to my BX GTI from my brothers old GTI a/c, but I found his condensor was rotten and the evapourater had a big hole[:(!].
I've since stripped the a/c system from a 16v ( the brakes and seats already fitted to my TZD Turbo) to fit in the TD.
I fitted the sump last year before my turbo wastegate stuck open and replace it with a s/h unit from a Rover 218td.
I've just fitted the evap. to my heater unit.
I bet you had the holes already cut in the bulkhead for the 2 heater inlets and the a/c pipes in your estate?
My 2 estates have them already cut but my TZD saloon did not so I've been cutting and grinding.
At present I've got no dash and the speedo head is taped to the steering column so I can fit the wiring fom the 16v and keep useing it[^][^].

Beware the underbonnet wiring, Bernie. Neither Haynes nor the Revue Technique have the diagrams right.
