Just picked up an N reg ZX TD estate. 49,000 miles.A grandad car which is absolutely mint.Full service history and the dealership had sold the car when new!!!Even has the original brochures! Drives really well

Well done.Make sure you keep up the good work.My R97 Xantia has 134k on it(1.9td)so should be good 4 a few miles yet.
Just goes to show there are good `oldish'cars out there!
Sods law says your`ll soon be posting problems on here though.How much was it if you dont mind me asking?

Sounds a good buy. All the same, I'd be inclined to change ALL fluids and belts, just in case the full history was relate to budget and to mileage rather than to age of service components (cambelt a case in point).
My late father's N reg Pug 106 did tiny miles over 4 years, I nearly doubled them in about 6 months but Pug service over the next two years (insisted on by other family members to maintain value) took little account of the time that coolant, belts, brake fluid etc. had been on/in the car. Cit dealers may do the same.....
