To atttach a picture you have to upload it to an Internet address which would be accessable using Internet Explorer.
You then click on the image link when creating a topic in this forum and type the URL address of your image in there.
Hope this helps

not really, as i do not have a web address! Oh well!!!
The pics are of a Saxo on a R reg that has had a serious shunt in the back. There is a box section that was completely rotten through, and in the impact had completely broken. The metal close up was completely rotted through.
Also was quite advanced rust on the offside front inner wing: i.e. a structural area. Given 2 more years it would have holed.
E-mail your addresses on this topic & i'll e-mail you the pics at the end of the day

If you want to email me the pics, I can stick them on my web server so they can be displayed on this topic. My email is james (at) orbguide.com
I've put the (at) to signify @ so spam bots don't nab the address as it's spam-free at the moment still!

Hi
Car mechanics magazine told of a 1999 V plate Saxo VTR with a rusted drivers front chassis leg back in October 2003.
The car had rusted beyond repair & Citroen rejected the warranty claim!
I can scan the page & email if anybody wants it.
Also has a item on C5 suspension problems & what dealers try to fix it.

The car was in a yard near to wales. It seemed Citroen had galvanised the bent outer panels (as they were rust free) but had forgotten abot the structural areas. mmm.
As an aside, if anyone was sitting in the back of the car, they would have been rearranged into a rather interesting shape!!!

Had a sneaky look at workmates S reg 1.1 today and lo and behold, Both chassis legs just where it meets the bodyshell at the front and rear shock mounts DOH!!![V] Crustier than a tramps sock, Wasn't holes yet but will need proper grinding to get to bare metal, Looks really akward to do as well, Was about the same level of rust as the top and bottom picture.
Seemed to go a long way up the bulkhead under the highly bubbled paint, Didn't dare scrape it[V]

I had the liner out of our P Reg. saxo a couple of weeks ago, front off side to replace the washer pump, I was surprised that it was like new, no rust. I will check the other 3 corners. I wonder why some rust not others, our mileage is low however, 55K. I have used in the past some Dinatrol on it though not very thoughly.

May be it's the tin worms likeing of only certain colours. He used to like tobacco brown Rover P6's when I was a kid, he then moved on to Champagne coloued VX cavaliers.
