Farewell

Post by Nikolaymk »

Folks,
This will be my final post. Having sold my Xantia and acquired a BMW there will be other forums for me to check from now on. Many thanks for all the advice that helped me to keep my car in top shape and sell it privately for more than a grand.
I wish you all best of luck with your cars and plenty of trouble free miles.

Nick, what "drove" you away from your lovely Xantia to go and buy this Teutonic masterpiece instead? :-))

Jon, the price drove me to the teutonic masterpiece. 1995 BMW 520i 24V 96K miles, full main dealer serv history, fully loaded for £1340 (the owner wasn't too bored about money so he practically gave it away).

Hope you've saved another grand for the first service!

:-) 1st service carried out today, BMW oilservice at independent specialist near Heathrow £58.00. Nexy service will be due in 12K miles and that will be £176. Similar price for Citroen is £140.

My only comments :
BMW's are a bit over-rated, Citroens quite a bit under-rated.
And so are the service costs [:p]
- your 520i is defo a nice car, but a whole world of differences to Citroens.

Good luck with the BMW mate. You'll be back, you'll have nothing to do with your week ends apart from shopping with the wife or girl friend, and nothing to pull a face at as it'll never break down. Sounds nice and sweet.
