C5 x7 evaporator location

Hi!

Been having issues with the aircon leaking out within a week of regassing.

Mobile mechanic said the centre vents are leaking, he picked it up with a sniffer.

Thinks it might be the evaporator.

Does anyone know how easy this is to access?

He thinks it'll be an entire dash removal, which makes it not viable...

Hi Paul, unfortunately that is the case as it is part of the heating / Air-conditioning unit itself and the fascia has to be removed to get it out.

So I'd make sure I had a thorough diagnosis first - and maybe a second opinion from an A/C specialist first?

Yeah he was an ac specialist unfortunately.. He put dye in the week prior too and couldn't see it anywhere, so seems likely to be the evaporator

Hi Agour, How did you go with the AC issue ?
I am having a similar issue with my C5 X7. it lasts for a month though until it loses gas.
