Hi all, looking for some advice from the group.
The front passenger side door of our Dispatch had a disagreement with a yellow bollard at a petrol station and as a result has some significant damage. We’ve had some dent repair specialists take a look who’ve advised a new door (but would be willing to have a go bit cant promise it won’t be obvious). I’ve had a look at breakers but used doors from salvage (with potential unobvious structural damage) are going for between £700-800.
I’m wondering for comparison what a new door would be and whether it’s a matter of ringing the local dealer to get a price? I can’t seem to find new body parts available online from other parts suppliers! I’d it a costly job fitting a new door and connecting the wiring etc if we do go down this route?
Really would rather not claim on insurance due to the likely rise in premiums across our policies as a result but equally don’t have lashings of cash to spend on brand new doors. Any advice?

Rather than a dent specialist you might be better getting a quote from a body shop. If you went for the new door option to which you would fit all the parts from your old one, it would still need to be painted at a body shop and whatever you decide it is going to be expensive.

Seem to be quite a lot on Ebay from £80 up, in a choice of colours.
