2004 despatch rear wheels stuck
Hi van was only left overnight but when I tried to drive if next day rear wheels are locked shut tried back and forth nothing problem is my drive is very steep so it's a bit dangerous to try taking it apart where it is. Is there anyway of disconnecting rear breaks to allow me to get of the steep drive? Thanks for any help given

If it's the drum handbrake, no. You'll need to chock the other wheels and get the offending wheel off the ground. I had this with mine. Sometimes the brake shoes jam on at a slight angle so the spring won't release them. I have had limited success using a lump hammer to jar them free. Sometimes lifting the wheel off the ground and rotating it the couple of cm's back and forth has worked, on another occasion I had to pull the drum off with a puller.....I rarely use the handbrake now and if I do do so with minimal force.

Chock the fronts or drive it to a flat place, take the handbrake off and smack the wheels with a lump hammer. They usually release. You might even find if you drive it 100 yrds or so, there'll be a loud ping, and they'll release themselves.
