C4 C-SERIES START STOP

Afternoon, I've got Start/Stop enabled on my AUTOMATIC C4 C-Series. However, once it turns off, as soon as I take my foot off the brake, the car starts and then starts moving. On my previous car (VW, don't shoot)... it stayed turned off until I engaged with the accelator... any idea what I can do to not just keep my foot on the brake?

That's just how it works on this vehicle - consult your manual:

Restarting the engine (START mode)
The engine automatically restarts as soon as the driver indicates the intention of moving off again:
With a manual gearbox: with the clutch pedal fully depressed.

With an automatic gearbox:
– With the selector in mode D or M: with the brake pedal released.
– With the selector in mode N and the brake pedal released: with the selector at D or M.
– With the selector in mode P and the brake pedal depressed: with the selector at R, N, D or M.
– With reverse gear engaged

So you may want to apply the parking brake when the vehicle is stopped, so when the engine restarts it doesn't start moving until you press the accelerator and the electric handbrake releases automatically.

Thank you Marc. Unfortunately, they haven't given me a manual, I only have the app... I've requested one and am waiting to hear back as I proactively like to try and work things out. As a result, if stuck in traffic, I'll apply the parking brake and then work that way, thank you for the help. Really impressed with the car overall, just a couple of things on another thread that don't quite make sense at the moment so am greatful to be on a forum with helpful people.
