Hi all, I have a 1.6 HDi C5 that had DPF issues so was off road for a while.
Made the mistake of trying to do the injector seals and No 1 injector (or is it 4 on these? Closest to the cambelt) is stuck in the head.
I can move the injector side to side and rock it in the head, I just can't get it to lift any more than 5mm upwards.
I have tried a friend's old injector puller, which snapped. Bought a new puller which won't touch it, tried my mates pneumatic puller but that stripped the threads off the puller adaptor.
Then tried hanging the engine off a crane via the injector but it won't budge then either and actually tore the seat belt rather than move.
Pretty much out of ideas so wondered if anyone had come across this before please?

Re: HDi injector woes
You need a 20 to 30-tonne hydraulic puller and porta power the car is less than two tonne hanging off the crane as you describe would not be sufficient to pull it. This was my saga for my injectors on my 2.0 hdi so beware. If it was me if I had it all to do again, I would bolt it down and sell it on, but if you are determined to you will also need a 16mm rod and M16 nuts a bit of 10mm and some sort of a tool steel fitting to catch the injector threaded and welded to the end of it. 10mm plate steel and some 3-inch steel pipe. If the space is limited in the engine bay you may need to remove the engine to get enough clearance to get it out well that was my experience at least. Best of luck if you do decide to keep it I hope you have better luck with it than I have with mine.
