Berlingo DPF problems

Hi all, newbie here. Great forum.
Right, now to give everyone a big headache!
2016 Berlingo L2 1.6Hdi.
DPF light started coming on, eventually went into limp mode. Stripped the exhaust down, thorough clean of cat and dpf with Wynns off-car cleaner. Dried them out completely. Got my Launch X431 Pro Elite diagnostic and reset the DPF soot values. All good? Well no.
When I start the van up there is a huge amount of exhaust gas spewing out from the turbo clamp and the Adblue injector clamp.
Anyway I bought a brand new DPF from BH Catalysts. Fitted that, checked the ecu soot reset values. No difference! Exhaust gas still flying out of both clamps.
The Adblue injector is fastened to the bottom of the cat so I at least know the gasses are travelling through the cat, but from that point its acting as if there is a complete blockage in the rest of the exhaust system. The only thing Ive replaced is the DPF. So on my next day off Im going to loosen each clamp from the DPF to the silencer and see if I can establish that there is a blockage somewhere. But before I do this, could I ask if anyone might have an idea why this is happening? Any info will be most welcome. Thanks in advance everyone.

Aftermarket DPFs are generally rubbish - it may just be too restrictive. Unlikely there was anything wrong with the original one - usually it's a fault somewhere else causing an issue with them not regenning. Are you getting any flow out of the tailpipe?

Yes but it seems very little. Maybe thats the problem - dpf too restrictive? Ill know on my next day off from work (next Wed). Ill remove the dpf and see if I get a flow. Typically I havent got the old one - I left it on the driveway and the local scrapmen struck! I guess I should add that the van does lots of small journeys - well, did!

Probably best to try and source a genuine used DPF and fit that, and then go from there. Usually these regen really easily and don't cause much problem even on short journey use. Did you have any fault codes? Is the exterior temperature sensor still working?

Hi Richard. No exterior temperature sensor codes. Just DPF clogged and EGR open circuit. EGR probably just wants a good clean out which I will get to soon. This bloody DPF cost me £285 and it pains me to know it might be useless. I bought it from a worldwide company too! Oh well, if it is the problem, Ill get a used one from somewhere, give it a good clean out and go from there. At least it will an experience as the wifes car (Range Rover Evoque) is starting with the same problems. Think Ill get my Passat estate back on the road too. It was written off for a cracked rear bumper and dint in the bootlid but when it went to the assessors, they wanted £6.5k to repair it. Ive just got the parts for £280. Happy days. Ill report back with what I find with the new dpf. Might be a warning for others if nothing else. Thanks for your help.

After market is rubbish ive had one , some won't fit correctly either.

I'd run it loose / off first, but it seems likely it's no good. You won't necessarily get a code for external temp, but if the dash reading is blank it can stop the DPF regenning.
