HDi engine explained

Hi, I am used to driving petrol cars, now I have a Berlingo 1.6, 99hp, HDi from 2016 with AdBlue system.

I would like to know more about the engine and all its sensors, tubes, etc. as I want to service and repair the car myself in the coming years.

Does anybody have a good link for explaining what is going on under the hood?

From 2004 (English), obviously they have come on in terms of technology since then, but this is the earlier system generally explained.

Thank you GiveMeABreak, what an amazing machine, so sophisticated, I am happy that it starts every time I turn the ignition key And happy I have the Diagbox, should something happen, it looks there is a good chance at some point with so many mechanical parts and sensors incorporated. At the same time I hear the engine is quite reliable.

The video is like what you say from 2004, I guess it has developed even more since then, and even a few more sensors have found the way

I have always serviced, repaired and maintained my previous petrol cars, never attended any workshop, so looking forward to see if I can manage this diesel one
