Lack of power and eml on

Hello can i please ask this forum for some explanation.

I took my dispatch 2012 2l diesel for mot and they revved the engine up to 5k rpm when the engine cut off. The car has developed a fault and the engine wont rev at all. I can only drive it with up to 50 mph and the eml is on. Had the codes read and they relate to oil saturation . All intake hoses are full of oil according to my mechanic and they suspect turbo failure. That's all the information I have.

We have changed filters and oil week before the mot test. Van was driving perfectly before the mot test.

Is there anything I can do now ? Thank you.

I'm surprised they revved it up to 5k rpms and if it hit 5k then it wouldn't of blown anything unless they kept it at that level for the emissions test. If that's the case, they may have done you a favour and found an underlying issue. 50mph and EML on sounds like your in limp mode. When you say it won't rev at all how do you mean??

115k miles but people comment that turbos 2 litre diesel engines are reasonably strong. I mean that it's in limp mode. Turbo is not kicking in and the as much as I press on the accelerator it doesn't go faster. I can get to 50 mph in sixth gear.

They have revved it yes, for the emissions test, when the engine has cut off. The car was running beautifully before that so I would only think they have done something. I will see if I can get the codes from the garage.
