Peugeot 207SW January 2010 1.4 VTI 95 BHP Petrol

Just purchased a low(ish) mileage 207 SW. This is the Petrol version with the 1.4 VTI Prince engine.

The car has been running fairly well but the gearbox is slightly noisy in 1st and 2nd. 3rd is quiet but not totally silent. Reverse and 4th & 5th are quiet.

I am thinking of replacing the gearbox and clutch assembly, but cannot establish what code the unit has.

Would any member know how to identify it?

I would consider changing the gearbox oil first. While you say it is low(ish) mileage, you do not know HOW she was driven, and if a previous owner 'crashed' the gears it would not have helped.

Yes still looking for a good 2nd hand 'box and clutch/ flywheel. But will try an oil change first.

Vin is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].

The actual mileage is 101,000.
