Perfect Business Opportunity

Post by mickthemaverick »

This strikes me as a perfect Business Opportunity for someone who likes kids but doesn't like ice cream (that lets me out!) so won't eat the stock!! :-D

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Ice cream was what got me married.
She worked in an icecream kiosk and dispensed free ices to my mate and me.
Sneaky seduction technique.

That's both boxes ticked here... I could take it to Junior parkrun on a Sunday  8-)

I think I'd be very popular - in some quarters at least...

A mate of mine used to drive an ice cream van.
The less said about that the better.

He worked for the same company as the wife.

Back when a weeks wages was about £80 I had a customer who ran an ice cream van and reckoned to earn himself £90 a day, it was one of the Whippy type and the ice cream was made from powder and water in a machine run by a generator powered by an old Ford 100E engine.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

That was a fair lick to be making in those days Eric...

I remember that 'ice cream' I think it did much to put me off of it...

I've always wondered, do they have run-hours meters on ice cream van engines? Sat idling away hour upon hour. The transit DI banana engine probably has that "unkillable" resilience to plug away but must be a hard life for an engine I'd think

Yes, diesels generally don't like running lightly loaded/idling unless designed to do so.

I'll bet those ice cream vans don't half make an impressive cloud of clag when they set off for home from their pitch!
