Ok, so why did this fall out and how concerned should I be?

Unread post by Sebastian Tombs »

Hello everyone.
I had an interesting incident this week. I discovered this rubber cap thing in the driveway when I reversed the C5 out. (2012 2.0 HDi 160 if it matters)

The car has just been serviced at a main dealer. It does need its spheres done though and the driveway in Q is very bumpy.

Apparently it is the Crank Pulley Grommet.
Why would it fall out, should I be concerned that it fell out, and how should I put it back? Should I put it back or replace?

Mine fell out a few years ago.
I gave it a smear of glue and put it back in place.
As far as I'm aware, it's still there.

Mine too - found it on the drive, but can't remember now what happened to it...
