We bought my Dad a C5 X7, His VIN is: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
and his car came with the dashboard button for enabaling\disabling the parking assist system, I do not have that button on my C5 X7.
The system doesn't seem to be working \ enabled, and I would like to enable \ fit it..
But on visual inspection, it doesn't seems like the parking sensors are fitted to either the rear or the front..
and also, he has an unknown chineese Android headunit fitted so his RD4 is not powered, I'm mentioning that because I read here:

That the original parking assist requires RD4 for the auditory parking beeps?
if true, I got two more follow-up questions:
- is there anyone who has an android headunit with the CANBUS adapters and does that enable those units to have 'original' parking assistance system support?
- assuming everything is properly connected, sensors, ECU, BSI configuration, what would occur without an RD4, the system would have no ways to alert the driver of object proximity at all?
