Rear suspension

Evening all: car in Q is 57 plate c4 grand Picasso 1.6hdi exclusive sitting on 120k miles…

When we purchased it a little while ago the owner told me the pneumatic suspension had been removed and standard springs chucked in etc..

However, we use all 7 seats regularly and just recently it is sitting lower and lower at the rear and has now started grounding out at low speed on certain bumps and getting on and off our drive etc…. We don’t have the funds to put the original set up back in unfortunately so does anyone know what springs I could hopefully put in that would be a bit of a stiffer ride etc?? It’s a very bouncy ride and feels like a boat on rough sea most of the time lol

Bouncy sounds like shocks, as for springs you can get spring 'bushes' which is basically hard rubber placed into the springs to stop them compressing as much

Ah ok perfect, maybe the shocks that were used are slowly failing as we have done 9k miles since April lol…. Do you know what shocks are used if it’s had the pneumatic stuff taken out?

No idea, any could of been fitted. The only way to tell is by looking and seeing what's fitted.
