Nemo knocking after top mounts replaced

Hi Folks

Got top mounts replacement as was knocking when steering and mot adverisey

Now they have been replacement sounds silly but car seems bouncy and roads seem very bumpy

Also going over certain bumps there is now a knocking noise any ideas

You should check the work done to see if everything has been put back correctly. Bouncing too much could be a shock absorber fault - were these replaced at the time or the old ones put back. A bounce test at each corner might help, push down and the car should rebound 1 or 1½ times, any more and it suggests the shock absorber is worn. Check all the wheel bolts and any other bolts have been tightened.

We had a C4 which started knocking and it was wear in a front shock absorber, with it off the car the chrome shaft could be moved sideways and knock but on the car it was difficult to check. Also had a C3 which knocked after a front spring was replaced and it was the top mount which may have lost some of the balls in the bearing during the work, fixed with a new top mount. This also needed new anti roll bar drop links which can also knock.
