Mk2 Berlingo - intermittent dash lights and other electrical niggles

Unread post by SteveC73 »

I’ve recently acquired a 2011 Mk2 Berlingo Multispace and have discovered the following niggles:

1. Dash lights more often than not don’t work - trip meter section lights up as it should but lights for the actual dials only come on very occasionally.

So today for instance they were on for about ten seconds when I first drove the car this morning then went off for the rest of the journey.

Came on for a few seconds during a journey this evening.

2. Horn is dead - anyone know which fuse box / which fuse I need to be checking?

3. Info display in the middle of the dash is half dead - repairable or get a secondhand unit and throw away?

4. It has the aux input in the glove box which takes two phonos. Was working fine with a lead that connects via those to lightning port on an iPhone but now no sound when connected.

Might just be a coincidence but seemed to stop outputting sound around the same time the dash lights first failed.

Worth disconnecting battery to reset BSI (used to own a Mk1 which had its own quirks!) or known issues that need money / parts thrown at them.

Otherwise enjoying the car 😎

TIA
