Planning on doing a 380 mile round trip tomorrow with this temporary fault.
Lexia will not communicate with the ECU.
I've checked continuity on the relevant wires, all seems good.
Opened up ECU and looks like there may be some dry solder joints and cracks. Hard to tell as mate didn't have a jeweller's loupe for me to get right up close.
Fitted a new turbo solenoid valve today and to say the car feels pedestrian is an understatement.
What joy!

Well my day has just got worse.
Trying to track down the fault with this is ending up a complete nightmare.
Stripped down the OBD socket to re-tension some of the pins which were loose. All hunky-dory but still not communicating with the ECU.
Ended up stripping down ECU again for the second time this week to redo the poor soldering I did at my mate's at the weekend because I couldn't see properly using his equipment.
Put it all back together and now the car doesn't start.
So how is it that the ECU has NO communication but can read all the new faults which have cropped up (some within the ECU) but it cannot communicate to erase them?
It's just so bizarre to try and get your head around.
