Hi All
I am having an issue with the air conditioning on my 2015 CITROËN C3 PICASSO 1.4 VTI, the compressor doesn't start. The dashboard switch lights up correctly but compressor clutch will not engage
To give you an idea of the steps taken so far:
- The gas in the system was replaced/recharged - NO CHANGE
- Checks were conducted and there are no leaks in the system
- The pressure switch has been replaced - NO CHANGE
- A new Air Con compressor has been fitted - NO CHANGE
- A Fault reader was connected to the car and no faults were reported (but I don't know if the tool used was particularly up-to-date).
After all that, the electrics were checked and the mechanic mentioned that the body control module could be the cause of the issue; however after the time and money spent on the car already I am wondering if there are simple checks that could carried out to confirm this is the in fact the case?
I have also since replaced the car battery as it was no longer charging properly and also caused a couple of fuses to go; are there any relays that could be the cause of the problem?
I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to proceed with this one.
Thanks all in advance,
Guillaume

Hi Guillaume
I don't have the latest diagram, but check the engine fuses F9 & F13 in the engine fuse box (PSF1). The AC Compressor is shown at 8020

Be aware that the engine ECU may inhibit the compressor clutch if it has a stored fault code for a cooling system fault or an emissions systems fault.

Still haven't tracked down the actual problem yet unfortunately; I'll have another good go over the week-end.
Quick question; whilst checking the fuses in the glove box compartment; I noticed there is a loose cable which isn't connected; is that meant to be like that?
Photo is attached and cable in question is highlighted.
Again thanks in advance,
Guillaume
