Passenger wing mirror not adjusting

Help me, please?? 2015 Citroen Grand C4 Picasso Exclusive+ 2.0 VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

My passenger side door mirror won't adjust properly - there's no movement left or right. Up has become down and down has become up and won't operate continuously - it's only by pressing the button repeatedly that it moves in very small increments still in the wrong direction.

DiagBox will correctly show which buttons are being pressed when both the right or the left mirrors have been selected. The direction of movement and % position for RH mirror. The LH mirror shows "no movement" and shows "Value Invalid" for the positions. When I run the actuator tests for the mirrors, it does what it should on the RH side but states "Activation not possible" when I try for the LH side.

Diagbox also shows a BSI2010 fault code B1003 00 (may be a phantom code). A PDPC_UDS fault code P1388 01 "Passsenger's exterior mirror glass adjustment sensors fault" - I've tried googling it but there's nothing very useful on the subject.

I've used the wiring diagram attached (I *think* it's the right one for this vehicle) to trace the cabling to the mirror motor and it does appear to only interact directly with the drivers door controls - but then how does Diagbox know its parameters and how does the "dipping in reverse" provide control and how does diagbox initiate the test sequences?

I tried changing the mirror motor for a used part off ebay but it made no difference - I'd be very surprised if it had the exact same random fault as the original.
I've tried a BSI reset and so has an auto electrican but both to no avail.
I've disassembled the drivers side control unit and there's no obvious damage to the PCB or connectors. All windows operate as they should. RH mirror operates as it should and both mirrors fold as they should.

IM LOST! - Where should I look to investigate next? Swapping the drivers control switches seems like the next logical step but at around £90+ for a used part it's an expensive trial-and-error venture. Would anyone be able to help me out with a PartNo? Doubtful...but... Would anyone be willing to meet up and let me try there's before I commit to buying one?

What is the process of operation? Is it, BSI sends data to the drivers controller and then this sends power to the mirror motor? Or the drivers controls sends data to the BSI and then this sends power to the mirror motor?

I've got another problem on the passenger side door in that the locking/unlocking on the handle for keyless entry doesn't work - I doubt its a linked problem as it stopped working roughly a year before the mirror went haywire but thought worth mentioning

The Driver's door control panel controls both mirrors.

First place I would start is
1) Check the wiring between the A Pillar and the Driver's door, This is a common area for shorts and wire breakages due to the opening and closing of the doors.
2) Check the driver's door control pad. On the underside are the various connectors and these can become loose.
3) Also on the control Pad, check the unit internals, as rain water over the years splashes and enters the buttons, causing corrosion on the circuit board. Clean it up with some electrical contact cleaner.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast! I've checked the loom passing through and everything seems okay around there. I've had the entire driver door control pad out, checked all the connections and even taken it to bits to check the PCB: Visually everything is fine with no signs of corrosion, scorching, loose solder legs, etc. I gave it a blast with some cleaner just in case but still remains the same.

Is there nothing else between the drivers control pad and the mirror motor? I know there's a connector in the passenger side door which I've checked, are there any others that could be loose? Rather check that first than commit to spending money on another control pad. Why are there so many generic ones for around £20-30 for the pre 2013 models but this one warrants £100 for a used part?

Basically variants because of functionality. There are different mirrors some electrochrome, some heated (most), folding, indexing, blind spot, position memorisation, build date, etc., etc. so the specific part number is essential when looking for a spare as they won't work correctly if the wrong type.

Had the exact same problem with the keyless entry stopping to work randomly and now my drivers side mirror moves by itself and I get the drivers exterior glass adjustment sensor fault in diagbox.

Did you manage to fix this and where is the drivers control pad too?

The control pad is the unit that the driver uses to operate the electric windows and adjust the door mirrors usually in the door arm rest. Often slamming of the door can cause the wiring plug module connector(s) to work loose and this may be why you are getting intermittent problems.

The second issue can be the actual wiring where it passes through from the A pillar to the door. Constant opening and closing of the driver's door causes gradual weakness ont he wiring loom int he aperture, resulting in broken wires. The behaviour is random as it will sometimes make contact other times not. Inspect by removing the protective tubing and checking the state of the sleeving or the wires and any weak points.
