engine compatability

I have a Renault Megane 1.6 dci estate 2012. I have had endless problems with the engine, lmmp mode, dpf, intercooler replaced and fuel pump interior parts disintegrated. I had been buying diesel from one main source and it appears his diesel was washed so looks like I have no hope with the engine. So my question is
do you know if the 1.5 dci engine is compatible with my vehicle? There are hundreds of 1.5 dci engines out there but why Renault made a 1.6 that same year is beyond me.

Are you sure the 1.5 is a Renault engine? I had a Vauxhall Astra 1.7Dti which is actually an Isuzu engine not a Vauxhall engine, if that's the case you could have problems on the electronic side of things. I'm sure someone here will know more.
