Replaced camshafts on 2.0hdi dispatch 2010.
Everything seems fine and lined up. Timing marks on chain and camshaft line up as do timing pins. However after turn full turns on crank timing pins line up but chain on cam no longer in right place. Tried turning over the cam pulley without timing belt on just to see and seems very tight. Just wondering what’s could be wrong or is there any possibility of a very slight difference in replacement cams.
Thanks

I think that's normal. Am i right in saying the dots on the sprockets are in the correct position when you re peg the pulleys but the coloured links on the chain dont line up with the dots?

Re: Camshaft
Sorry i just re read my post & not sure if it was clear. I mean after it has been set up then the engine turned over by hand a few times the coloured links on the chain are not on the dots on the sprocket anymore but the dots always go back to the same position when the timing belt is re pegged?
