head gasket thickness

Hi Guys,


DW10 2.0 hdi, 30k miles, done head gasket but did not check the thichness of head gasket, took it as standard (one dot ) , if there is such a thing?.

is ther anyway to find out what the original one was on production?

looked at 4 other engines and they are all 3 dot ie 2 thickness up from the starting point of 1 hole.

That's because there are 5 sizes of Head Gasket possibilities from EP 1.25, 1.30, 1.35, 1.40 and 1.45, for this vehicle VIN.
