Hi

Unread post by Demmers »

Just registered and great to find a source of advice to keep my C5 2013 tourer fit and healthy.

Passionate about the legendary Citroën ride since my father ran two DS models when I was a teenager, the last a DS23 Pallas in silver with semi auto gearbox, and he went on to own an SM until sadly he was encouraged to change it for a BMW 525. Oh to have any of those three now........

Just lining up my first maintenence on the C5 - new front brake discs and pads. Hopefully straightforward!

Hi, and :welc: to the Forum. Do browse, there are a lot of topics to entertain and inform members, and not all of them are about cars!

Hi and welcome!
Only just joined myself looking to sort out an emissions problem.
Good luck with the brakes, I did all my pads and discs last year for my C5 aircross' first MOT, as the rear left calliper appeared to have started sticking (Welsh weather) and causing excessive wear. I couldn't believe they use four different types of fastener, and I had to go and buy a TX socket set to do the job.

Hi and welcome to the forum. It'd be the DS23 for me.

Hello, and welcome.

I have quoted Jollyfj above because you will need good quality ' torx key set, as the fit needs to be perfect, you will find out that the bolt head material is not always as tough as you would expect (read hope).

if my memory serves me right, T35 for calipers, but I could be wrong, I have been before🤔
