I own a C4 Picasso, semi-auto gear, 2010, 155 THP and for about 2 weeks I can hear a serious bang only when braking from gear 3 to 2, otherwise, I am absolutely satisfied with the behavior of the gearbox considering that it has over 200,000 km. All gear changes are smooth from 1 to 6 (no sound considering the fact that i drove this car for quite a while and i lift my foot as soon as i feel a gear change, braking is perfect from gear 6 to 3 but when I have to shift from 3 to 2 there is a loud bang that can be felt and heard by any passenger. Rest of gear change is perfect smooth.
If you brake aggressively, the sound is medium, if you brake very light, the sound is light and if you brake normally, the sound is loud.

Id say the selectors could be worn.

Maybe, but only from 3rd to 2nd shift? From 2nd to 3rd works like a charm.

Re: Wired noise only from 3rd to 2nd gear
I'd agree, 2nd to 3rd is under acceleration and wouldn't show that problem, 3rd to 2nd would as trying to slow down 2nd gear cog would spank into place and show it's worn. Great shout Husky
