It is clear that my workshop manuals are lacking.
Wanting to take EGR off to clean but its orientation does not match either of the following manuals.
I can see the UFO on the EGR and the rubber pipe coming from it lying horizontal.
Cannot recall what my RPO number is. I think it’s on the 8300’s but thought it was supposed to be on yellow on the bulkhead.
At first, I thought it was the bottom two photo then when I realised it was lying horizontally I checked the other manuals I have burn it’s not the top two photos either.
The diagram in photo four looks like what I get when I type into t’internet for a replacement.but I don’t think it can be correct.

Here is a photo of the valve head taken from the front of the engine bay looking back providing the forum does not rotate the photo. Circled in yellow. You can see the pipe from the electro valve and the UFO

The Xantia in your Profile VIN ending 665 is a DW10ATED engine - which may have differences to the manuals you have shown above.
This is the EGR parts diagram for your car:
Removing:
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Remove the style cover.
Remove:
Remove:
N.B.: It is possible to replace the "CLIC" clip ( 4) with a screw clamp (identical to XUD engines).
ESSENTIAL: Replace the EGR valve seal.
Proceed in the reverse order to removal.
Tighten the nuts (9) to 1 dan.m.

Re: Xantia HDi 109 EGR Confusion
Cheers Marc.
So the parts diagram is sort of correct.
Parts 2, 14 and 15 are correct.
The UFO definitely does not sit vertically as shown. 100% it does not.
I’m going to have to get it on a ramp and above a look from underneath.
The other diagrams match my last two photos.
They are wrong. Again 100% not a match.
I’m somewhat bamboozled by this hence why I need to get under it at some point.
